Where does the exhaust air go after filtration?
The AirHood recirculates and recycles the air very efficiently, rather than redirecting it elsewhere. However, with The AirHood, there is no need to compromise on effectiveness. Thanks to this setup, the hood is portable and can be used anywhere—air vents out of the back of the hood.

How do I clean my AirHood?
The AirHood is very easy to clean. Remove the magnetically attached air duct “in a jiffy” and clean it wherever you like. The oil filter is mounted on the air duct utilizing a bracket, which can be removed with a quick flick of the wrist thanks to the simple twist-lock mechanism and then cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. In addition, the activated charcoal filter behind the oil filter can be easily removed and replaced by hand.

How and how often should I clean my AirHood?
As with any other kitchen appliance, ideally you should clean the AirHood after each use. How often cleaning is necessary depends, of course, on the frequency and type of use. For example, deep frying some onion rings will require more maintenance than briefly stir frying your vegetables.

How often do I need to replace the filters?
The activated charcoal filter should be replaced after about 120 hours of use or when cooking odors are not sufficiently filtered out anymore.

Will the AirHood be shipped with spare filters?
Yes, the AirHood comes with six replaceable charcoal filters - one inside your AirHood and another bag of five - which will last for more than two years of daily cooking. The oil filter is washable, dishwasher-safe, and does not need to be replaced as long as it is cleaned frequently. Therefore, no spare oil filter will be included.

Thanks to our pledge manager, you will be able to adjust your shipping address until about one month before shipment. Like that, we try to avoid accidental shipping to wrong addresses due to relocation or otherwise. If you move after your address has been locked, please simply change your address via your personal survey link.

When is my money collected?

When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you’ll get it once it’s produced. Besides getting the product itself, you’re also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.

To offer you maximum transparency for shipping, we will use a shipping tool to calculate shipping costs, taxes, and duties that may be imposed by your local governments. Refund policy
Kickstarter (and crowdfunding in general) is designed for backers to be able to pledge a chosen amount of money toward a project. Once pledges are finalized, the money is delivered to the campaign as expected, and projects begin to move forward aggressively. Because of this, Kickstarter is not designed to support refunds. All backers have until the end of the campaign to change or cancel their pledged amounts. Any emergency needs for refunds will be addressed individually. If these occur within 14 days of the end of the campaign, we may be able to offer a full refund. Once Kickstarter has charged its fees, all refunds will be reduced by the fee amount for the size of the pledge. Once your rewards have begun shipping, we will be unable to offer any refund.

Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their invention. Backers (that’s you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
